GIAHA/RITZ THEATRE OFFERS AUDITION WORKSHOPS FOR ASPIRING ACTORS

Always wanted to be on stage but not sure how to audition for a role?  Have stage experience but need to fine tune your audition skills?  Golden Isles Arts and Humanities is offering a fun, informative, three-session workshop that will help you get past your fear and uncertainty and rock that audition!

Actor-director-educator Lucy Bryson will take prospective actors (ages 13 and up) through all the details of preparing for an audition and getting the role you want.  The three-session workshop will focus on such topics as different audition formats, monologue choices, and slating (introducing yourself and the piece you’re presenting).  There will be individual coaching time for participants and practice to help you hone your skills through mock auditions.

Participants are highly encouraged to come prepared with a monologue to use or several to choose from.

The workshops will be held Monday January 30, Wednesday February 1, and Monday February 6, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.  The cost for all three sessions is only $25 per person.  Those interested in participating should contact the Ritz by Thursday, January 26 to secure a spot: 912-262-6934 or via email.

You can download the necessary registration forms here and here. Please fill them out and send them via email or mail/bring with payment to:
